Thanks to everyone who came out for the Burst City show! We're currently writing new songs and recovering from World Cup related injuries.

Our next show is with Vayer for their EP launch, with Dead Letter Opener and Levic at The Zoo on August 13. Doors at 7pm and it's $12 which includes an FREE EP on entry!!

We're also playing GUITARMEGGEDON at the Jubilee Hotel on August 28, with a HUGE lineup!! Check it out! 2 stages from 2pm. Tickets $25

Our next show is Friday 25th June at Burst City. It's also ALL AGES. Burst City is across from the full scale museum dinosaurs in South Brisbane. We're playing with Vassals, Infinite Thought Process and One Shot Salute, who are all actually really good. Doors at 8, $10.

So it turns out that The Quickening will not be playing at the Brisbane North Roller Derby bout at The Convention Center this Saturday 17th. Attendees will get some Rockabilly action instead. Yeehaw.

If you really wanna see people smash each other, then get yo self down to The Convention Center, Sth Brisbane, Sat 17 April for the first bout of Roller Derby season 2010. The Quickening are performing a set to get everyonne annoyed enough to wanna push each other over on wheels. Whole thing starts around 6pm. $15 Entry. Good times.

Thanks to the people that stuck around at the Qpunx fundraiser long enough to see us blow up a powerboard.

Our next show is going to be 100% awesome - it's at Brews Brothers in Woolloongabba/East Brisbane on 13th March with a bunch of cool ass bands. It's $10 ($12 for non zed subs) and starts at 4pm so you can get to drinking nice and early (if you're not a 4zzz subscriber you probably should be! Join up while you're there and reap the rewards). Brews Brothers is a great business that provides customers the ability to brew their own homebrew in a clean and controlled environment with expert assistance.... really cheaply. Come and learn about beer, then drink the beer and forget everything you've learned.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Dick Nasty 10th birthday show and endured the sights of Lucas's naked body covered in what we are assured was fake blood.

Accolades.
Three people last year liked the album. Heres what we found out -
Triple J - Lindsay voted 'White Blossoms' number 4 and 7 top albums for the year. While we think this is most certainly a typo, we'll take both spots.
Triple Z - hot 100 for 2009 - 'Fantasia Moons' came in at number 18 and 'Of Books and Bells' came in at number 24.
Time Off - Top 5 artists of the year - Top 5 local bands - 'White Blossoms' top ten albums twice & Fantasia Moons top 5 songs.
